ABC AutoFold™ is a compact motorized vehicle-shelter concept designed to provide convenient outdoor protection while retracting when access to the parking space is needed.
The customer problem
Vehicles parked outdoors need repetitive preparation before they can be driven, displayed or delivered, while a permanent structure takes up the parking space year-round.
The ABC approach
AutoFold™ is being developed as a retractable option: the enclosure covers the vehicle when protection is useful, then folds back so the driveway or lot space stays usable.
ABC AutoFold™ is a retractable outdoor shelter concept for a single parking space. A motorized remote-controlled mechanism extends the fabric enclosure over the vehicle and folds it back into a compact format when open access is preferred. The concept is being evaluated for passenger-car and SUV configurations, residential driveways and selected commercial vehicle operations. AutoFold™ is currently in supplier qualification and B2B pilot stage: final specifications, anchoring requirements, structural ratings, electrical certification and the Canadian-market configuration are being validated before commercial availability.
